"That's a gun. You're the weapon" - SGT Levi

Winter in Afghanistan near Mazar-i-Sharif was cold. The circumstances weren’t great, and they were entirely agitated by the shitty gear we’d been issued, even with the budget of the 75th Ranger Regiment.

Issued plate carriers chaffed your low back anytime you wore them.

The shoulder straps dug into your traps and chaffed your neck.

Sagging rear plate bags forced your neck to crane forward to act as a counter balance.

The lack of elasticity in the cummerbunds meant you could either wear your plate carrier loose and have it bounce all over the place or wear it tight and not be able to breath.

All of these are unnecessary distractions in a job where focus matters most.

In sniper section, we traded these carriers for low vis carriers. While vastly improved, they came with their own set of problems. Primarily, you could hardly carry anything,

What we needed was a low profile carrier that could be fully loaded to support any operator loadout. One that maximized comfort, modularity, and user maneuverability.

The Javlin Adaptive Carrier was designed to just that.

We provided portions on the inside of the plate bags for cushioning to prevent the low back from chaffing.

We perfected the shoulder straps, keeping them away from your neck and preventing them from digging into your traps.

We designed the rear plate bag to sit higher on your body than the front plate bag, ensuring your neck doesn't have to crane forward to counterbalance.

We designed cummerbunds that have enough elasticity to keep the plate carrier tight to your body to prevent it from bouncing up and down while ensuring there was enough elasticity remaining to move and breath.

We also applied no-brainer fixes like having the ballistic plates insert from the top instead of the bottom to make sure that the ballistic plates aren't at risk of falling out the bottom of the plate carrier.

We at Javlin are thrilled to introduce a product line meticulously designed to address every challenge encountered over decades of collective experience and years spent on overseas combat deployments.

Javlin exists for one reason: to maximize operator capabilities by increasing comfort, modularity, and user maneuverability.

You are the weapon.

That's the concept.
